Ocean by Meriton

Considered to be one of the top 20 development projects shaping the Gold Coast, Ocean by Meriton is a 76-storey residential, hospitality, and retail tower offering breathtaking 360-degree beachfront vistas. Destined to become an iconic landmark in the heart of Surfer’s Paradise, the tower presents a new era where lifestyle, convenience, and luxury intersect - including a five-star hotel, luxurious residential apartments, and a lively retail district.

Completed in July 2022, the stunning façade lighting solution was conceptualized by LightstudioMG, who worked closely with the architect and client to create a design that highlights the building’s golden crown, creating a dynamic visual experience that makes the building pop in the nighttime sky.

Color Kinetics products were selected for their performance and reliability in harsh coastal conditions. A ring of Color Kinetics Graze Compact Powercore, RGBW  10° x 60° fixtures were placed on both the level 33 amenities floor and the level 76 crown to graze colorful light on the building’s structural details between those levels. The lighting system is controlled by a Pharos LPC-2 show controller and powered by Color Kinetics Data Enabler Pro, creating a striking impact on the Gold Coast skyline.
