    Dynamic LED lighting becomes the view

    Situated in the prestigious OUE Bayfront on Collyer Quay in Singapore, VUE attracts high-profile clients with an exceptional experience, distinguished by a spectacular view of the city skyline and scenic Marina Bay Sands (MBS).


    Klaasen Lighting Design (KLD) was tasked with using light to provide a more comfortable and dynamic dining experience for guests. Martin Klaasen, Founder and Director of KLD, wanted to achieve a unique ambience with dynamic color, a range of color temperatures, numerous dimming levels, wall washing, and indirect light distribution to illuminate the restaurant’s curved ceiling.


    Familiar with Color Kinetics legacy of quality and reliability, Klaasen selected Color Kinetics PureStyle IntelliHue Powercore, a premium interior concealed luminaire, iPlayer 3 controller, and Data Enabler Pro to provide integrated data and power. IntelliHue made all the difference for the project because of its unique capability to precisely control a variety of tunable white light and extremely rich, consistent, and tunable color light from the same luminaire. Also important was the system’s capability to spread light at a variety of beam angles and to diffuse light in the space with various dimming levels. The system delivered exceptional performance with high lumen output, high CRI, and minimal energy consumption.


    PureStyle IntelliHue Powercore was a perfect fit for the space that, not only achieved the design vision, it exceeded the expectations of Klassen and his client, and delights guests who regularly compliment the dynamic lighting display.
