    Efficiency aids a local church

Situated in London's King's Square, the historic St. Clement's Church is a prized building for the local religious community. However, the church's lighting system was no match for the valued architecture.

The Islington Council wanted a new lighting system that required less energy and labor. The council worked with Color Kinetics and lighting solutions provider Architainment to illuminate the church and distinguish it as a marvelous place of worship.

In 2011, Wishbone Electrical, working with Architainment, installed Color Kinetics products in the church. The spire and portico are now lit with high-intensity white light, using eW Blast Powercore LED luminaires. The team installed eW Graze Powercore LED grazing luminaires on the side of the church to highlight the high walls in white light.

The energy-efficient lighting solution from Color Kinetics is exactly what the council wanted financially and environmentally, and requires minimal maintenance.

Rob Anderson, Architainment Lighting's Key Account Manager, said, "I am happy to see that the installation is completely ready for the dark winter months and I am sure it will make a positive impact on the local community."
