Premium brand differentiates with pink light

House of Fraser is a British premium department store with over sixty locations across the United Kingdom and Ireland. The London site was looking for a way to distinguish itself from the many vendors on Oxford Street, the heart of the city's retail quarter.

The store called on Architainment Lighting Ltd., a specialist lighting solutions provider, who suggested using an LED lighting solution to differentiate the storefront. To give the building a new look, the new LED lighting would illuminate the six-story façade with the retailer's signature pink color to help reinforce the company's brand.

Architainment recommended Color Kinetics ColorReach Powercore luminaires (now specified with ReachElite) for the project. With light output of thousands of lumens and extended light projection, these powerful exterior LED floodlights are specifically designed to light exterior façades. Reach Powercore luminaires are also energy-efficient, consuming only 290 W per luminaire. Because of the long useful life of the integrated LED light sources, the company can avoid relamping and other costly maintenance efforts.

Although the luminaires have been programmed to display the store's signature color, the LED system affords the ability to create dynamic color-changing effects for holidays and special occasions.
