Philips evaluates and tests all fixtures during development for optical performance but when it comes to the finished product, we use independent, third party testing laboratories. These laboratories are accredited and NIST-traceable.
As warranted, full hemisphere testing to IES standards is employed. Correction curves are also applied to the measurements to insure the correct photometric eye response V(lambda) curves are being used. This is especially important with the saturated colors in RGB fixtures.
All IES files are provided in standard IES file format in accordance with IES LM-63-2002. All files are in ASCII (text) format and are not compressed.
Estimate the light level (illuminance), number of luminaires, and lighting layout, for a simple room or building by using a zonal cavity (lumen method) calculation tool. Click here to view IES files in this calculation tool. |
