Royal Caribbean International's Voyager Of The SeasLarry Kirkland and architectural lighting design firm Fisher Marantz Stone create a lighting sculpture fit for a royal residence. But this majestic display won't be found in Buckingham Palace or Balmoral Castle -- it's the centerpiece of Voyager of the Seas, the world's largest cruise ship and the pride of Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines' fleet of luxury cruise ships. The designers chose Color Kinetics fixtures for their durability, low energy consumption and intelligent control to add color changing excitement a glass oculus spanning four of the ship's decks and culminating with a skylight at the uppermost pool deck. Over 250' of iColor® Cove fixtures are used to edge-light square glass panels that are hung at various angles to resemble a ladder leading up to the skylight. The iColor Cove fixtures are controlled to create beautiful colored lighting and a number of color changing lighting effects to guide the viewers' eyes upward. Royal, indeed!
