Metropolis is a popular movie complex in Antwerp, Belgium with a unique method of distinguishing its 24 individual theaters. A series of stretch fabric structures line the main hall, each one lit by Color Kinetics’ ColorBlast® systems to seemingly glow from within. The structures uniquely display the number of each theater while gradually changing colors. The low-heat, long-life nature of the ColorBlast systems makes them ideally suited for lighting this difficult-to-access space. The light shows were authored and controlled by a third-party DMX system.
