Jumeirah Essex House is an exclusive, historic art-deco, 5-star hotel located right in the heart of New York City, over-looking world renown Central Park and just steps away from Broadway.

Philips had the wonderful opportunity to contribute to the beauty and practicality of the guest rooms, providing the luxurious details one can expect from such a high-end venue. In each room Philips installed LED StumbleLights™ and Art Lights, providing clearer visibility in the dark and highlighting alluring artwork through subtle color changing.

In all hotel rooms, a StumbleLight™ was installed in each nightstand, providing a pool of light on the floor when a guest steps out of bed, by way of motion activation. Art Lights were developed to discretely fit the headboard design. The LEDs uplight the artwork with gradual color changes throughout the day.

The Philips Art Light is a slim profile, color changing, LED linear fixture and is ideal for coves and built-in details that require backlighting or surface grazing. This versatile strip of light emits excellent color blending, and allows for a vast range or color sequences through programming.

The Philips StumbleLight™ is a motion-activated night guiding light designed to turn on when a hotel guest steps out of bed. It is designed to be placed under a nightstand or on the wall to illuminate the path at night. StumbleLight uses a warm white LED source and has a remote motion-sensor and photocell.
