Casa Grijalva

Casa Grijalva is a government building in Mexico that features a visually mesmerizing exterior unlike any other, thanks to Color Kinetics’ intelligent solid-state lighting technology. Once dismissed as too dim for primetime, LEDs light this grand building in its entirety, from top to bottom.

To wash the exterior façade with saturated, uniform color, 18 ColorBlast® 12 units were mounted to approximately three-foot (one-meter) high pedestals and installed four feet (1.2 meters) from the building in four-foot (1.2 meter) intervals. The high-performance units bathe the façade with deep colors and gradual, color changing sequences that accompany various events and holidays.
