FORBES NAMES COLOR KINETICS AMONG
TOP 25 TECHNOLOGY GROWTH COMPANIES
Boston, MA - January 30, 2006 - Color Kinetics Incorporated (NASDAQ: CLRK), a leading innovator of intelligent solid-state lighting systems and technologies, today announced its inclusion among Forbes magazine's prestigious annual list of the country's 25 fastest-growing technology companies. Largely comprised of Internet and biotech companies, Color Kinetics is the only LED- or lighting-related company to be chosen, alongside other industry leaders like Google and eBay.

To qualify for the list, a company must have a minimum of $25 million in sales and have been profitable over the last 12 months. Companies also must have had sales growth of 10% a year (or better) for the last five years and consensus earnings forecasts of at least 10% annualized growth over the next three to five years.
