TRACK C-SERIES ARCHITECTURAL LIGHTING SYSTEM

Incorporated, the pioneer of full spectrum digital lighting, today introduces
Track C-Series, a complete solution for installing Color Kinetics' award-winning
C-Series color-changing lights in architectural environments. The Track
C-Series system consists of three components: the Color Kinetics®
C-200T light fixture; a heavy-duty, industry standard three-circuit track;
and Color Kinetics patent-pending Data Masseuse, which enables flexible
lighting control and unrestricted track topology/configuration. Track
C-Series eliminates many of the constraints of conventional track lighting
options, providing designers, architects and other creative professionals
with even more creative freedom in using Color Kinetics lighting for their
projects.
The Track C-Series system utilizes a track-optimized C-200 fixture —
the C-200T — that incorporates a yoke assembly containing a dedicated
power supply as well as a mounting adapter which passes both power and
data to the fixture through a single cable. For added security, a covered
port in the backplate prevents unauthorized access to onboard control
switches. The C-200T joins the award-winning C-Series family of digital
color-changing lights, which was named both the "Best New Product of the
Year" at Lightfair '98 and "Architectural Lighting Product of the Year"
at Lighting Dimensions International '97.
Like all of Color Kinetics products, Track C-Series' C200-T is powered
by Color Kinetics' patent-pending Chromacore™ technology to generate
over 16.7 million colors using a microprocessor and RGB color mixing of
LEDs (light emitting diodes). This digital generation differs from ordinary
lighting techniques which require motors and filters over white light
sources to produce colors and color effects. Other advantages include
ultra-long source life, minimal power consumption, virtually no heat or
UV emissions, and no moving parts. The C-200T's built-in intelligence
runs an assortment of lighting shows such as color cross fades, color
washes, random color changes or constant colors. In addition to standalone
control, the C-200T can also be externally controlled by industry standard
DMX512 networks for the ultimate in flexibility and control.
One of the most exciting elements of Track C-Series is Color Kinetics'
new Data Masseuse, a precision data amplifier used for external control
of the C200T fixtures. The wall-mounted Data Masseuse utilizes patent-pending
technology to process a DMX512 signal in a unique way that eliminates
data "noise." This enables the operation of more than 32 light fixtures
on a track run without the strict repeater and termination requirements
of DMX512. By eliminating these requirements, Data Masseuse enables the
track to be arranged in any topology or configuration, with any number
of branches and/or T connections. This allows designers to freely create
unique colored lighting installations that enhance any type of space without
the constraints of conventional track options.
Track C-Series will be available in both black and white finishes. The
Track C-Series components are available individually, allowing customers
to purchase only the number and type of components needed for their specific
installation.

Color
Kinetics also announced another addition to the C-Series family, the Security
C-200. Ideal for installations where public access to onboard control
switches and connectors is not desired, the Security C-200 offers the
same color-changing capabilities as the traditional C-200 fixture with
the addition of an anodized aluminum switch cover. When access to the
control switches is desired — for creating a new light show, for
instance — the cover can be removed with a standard Allen wrench.
The Security C-200 is designed to be hardwired to the Color Kinetics Multi
Output Power Supply, which supplies power and data to the light fixture.
