THE STREAK CONTINUES! COLOR KINETICS HONORED WITH INTERNATIONAL AWARD
AT PLASA
Earns Sixth Industry Award at Professional Light and Sound
Association Trade Show in London
LONDON September 8, 1999 Color Kinetics, the pioneer
of full spectrum digital lighting, captured another in a long line
of industry awards at PLASA '99 in London. In a field that included
such exhibitors as Pioneer, Sony and Phillips, Color Kinetics was
unanimously awarded the top prize for most imaginative use of stand
(booth) space.
Color Kinetics' PLASA '99 booth was conceived by Holly Swarztrauber,
Marketing Communications Manager for Color Kinetics. The booth showcased
the company's line of digital color-changing lights using interactive
product displays, colorful photography and lively graphics to show
how Color Kinetics products can transform a variety of display,
entertainment and architectural applications. Featuring four distinct
demonstration and discussion zones, the striking all-white booth
proved to be the perfect canvas for the 16.7 million colors and
color-changing effects created by Color Kinetics' patent-pending
Chromacore technology.
According to the PLASA judges, Color Kinetics' booth earned high
marks both aesthetically and functionally. "I was drawn in immediately
by the way that the applications were presented. It was clean, elegant
and very powerful," said Allan Curtis, a London design consultant
and lead judge for the PLASA awards. "Unlike other stands, there
was no question as to what the products were designed to do," he
said. "The flow and presentation within the space were fantastic.
It felt rather like walking through an art gallery."
Color Kinetics President and CEO George Mueller was thrilled to
learn of the company's sixth award in as many trade shows. "The
common denominator among people who experience Color Kinetics' brilliant
color and color-changing effects is a sense of delight and wonder,"
he said. "It's very gratifying to know that our booth brought forth
that same experience to the PLASA judges and show attendees."
Color Kinetics had much to celebrate at PLASA '99, from the debut
of three new products the Track C-Series system, the Security
C-200 fixture and the Multi Synchronizer controller to the
international introduction of Color Kinetics' award-winning iColor
Cove and iColor MR products. Adding an international award to a
host of new products and an expanding list of high-profile customers
including Limited Inc., Brookstone, Harrods, Nine West and Boston
Symphony Hall, Color Kinetics continues to make its colorful mark
on the world.
