ATLANTIC CITY, NJ - ATLANTIC CITY POOL & SPA SHOW - January 29, 2002 -Color Kinetics, the pioneer of intelligent, LED-based illumination technologies, today announces an addition to its ColorScape™ line of digital lighting products for pools and spas: ColorScape System Wired Remote. The ColorScape System Wired Remote allows users of Color Kinetics' innovative ColorScape 90 Multi Light System for in-ground pools the flexibility of controlling the lighting system from greater distances. The ColorScape System Wired Remote comes equipped with a 100-foot cable, allowing users to control the lighting system from up to 150 feet away (the ColorScape 90 Multi Light System comes with a 50-foot cord). Now, users can install the ColorScape System Wired Remote's push-button controller alongside other pool area controls, enabling them to effortlessly change the hues of the pool or create exciting color changing effects at the simple push of a button.
ColorScape System Wired Remote is for use with Color Kinetics® ColorScape 90 Multi Light System, which provides gorgeous colored light and unique color changing lighting effects to in-ground pools. The system utilizes Color Kinetics' patented Chromacore® digital illumination technology to create rich colored light and unique color changing effects via microprocessor-controlled, multi-colored LEDs (light emitting diodes). ColorScape 90 Multi Light System comes with a pre-programmed assortment of unique light shows -- including color washes, random color changes, high-speed random color changes, blue to green cross fades, sunset cross fades, chasing rainbows and a number of fixed colors -- that may be easily transitioned or dimmed using the simple three-button controller. And Color Kinetics ColorScape 90 Systems don't have any of the drawbacks associated with traditional colored lighting methods, such as high heat production, limited color choices, complex installation, and frequent maintenance. By using solid-state, LED technology, ColorScape products offer totally silent operation; compact, self-contained housing; low power consumption; ultra-long source life; little heat production; and no UV emission. ColorScape 90 Systems fit into most standard niches from manufacturers such as Astral, Hayward, American, Sta-Rite, and Purex.
