LAS VEGAS - Lightfair International 2001 - May 30, 2001 - Color Kinetics Incorporated, the pioneer of full spectrum digital lighting, today announces the introduction of iColor™ Cove LT, the newest cove light fixture in the iColor Series of full spectrum digital lighting products. Specifically designed for installations requiring lower intensity light output and a lower cost, iColor Cove LT significantly extends the types of applications in which digital cove lighting can be used. iColor Cove LT provides all the intelligent control capabilities and benefits found in Color Kinetics professional lighting products through the use of the Color Kinetics' patented, digital LED-based Chromacore® technology.
iColor Cove LT is an ideal complement to Color Kinetics' popular iColor Cove fixture. Providing approximately 60% of the brightness of existing iColor Cove fixtures, iColor Cove LT presents an additional option for designers who want intelligent control of colored lighting, but don't require high intensity light output or are working under tight budget limitations. Enclosed in a low-profile, vented, molded plastic housing, iColor Cove LT is modular in design, allowing it to be placed in alcoves, task areas, accent areas and other tight spaces. Available in 6" and 12" units, iColor Cove LT offers the capability of creating millions of colors of light and a variety of color-changing effects through the use of Color Kinetics' patented LED-based Chromacore technology. The built-in intelligence of iColor Cove LT allows each segment to be individually controlled via onboard switches to run a number of pre-programmed lighting effects, including Color Washes, Cross Fades, Fixed Colors, Random Colors, Strobes, and Chasing Rainbows. iColor Cove LT also may be controlled externally via an industry-standard DMX512 lighting console, a PC, or Color Kinetics' own line of easy-to-use controllers. iColor Cove LT units are powered using Color Kinetics' iMOPS-150 power supply, which provides both power and data to up to 20 iColor Cove LT 12" units or up to 32 iColor Cove LT 6" units.
