Introduction of ColorScape 90 Digital Lighting Systems for In-ground Pools
BOSTON - June 25, 2001 -Color Kinetics, the pioneer of full spectrum digital lighting, today announces the expansion of its ColorScape™ line of digital pool and spa lighting products with the introduction of ColorScape 90 Systems especially for in-ground pools. Easily installed in new or existing in-ground pools, ColorScape 90 Systems provide gorgeous colored light and unique color changing lighting effects via Color Kinetics' patented Chromacore® digital lighting technology, which utilizes microprocessor-controlled, multi-colored LEDs (light emitting diodes) to generate colored light and lighting effects.
With ColorScape 90 Systems, now you can bring the party into your pool! Available in single light and multiple light options, ColorScape 90 Systems provide fully saturated colored light and a variety of fun color-changing effects, and come with a pre-programmed assortment of unique light shows, including color cycles, random color change, high-speed random color change, blue to green cross fades, and a number of fixed colors. ColorScape 90 Single Light System includes a two-button controller allowing users to choose the effect mode and vary the speed of chosen effects. With ColorScape 90 Multi Light Systems, users can create all of the same lighting shows as the Single Light System, plus synchronize all the lights to the same effect, or create specialized effects such as a chasing rainbow of colored light. The ColorScape 90 Multi Light System controller also includes a third button for dimming the lights. ColorScape 90 Systems can be used in vinyl, gunite, concrete and fiberglass in-ground pools, and are easy to install. All ColorScape 90 Systems come with one 90 LED light with 50 feet of cord and a touch-pad control box that includes the transformer. Additional 90 LED light fixtures may be purchased for pools where multiple lights will be used (up to four 90 LED lights may be controlled in one system). ColorScape 90 Systems fit into most standard niches from manufacturers such as Astral, Hayward, American, Sta-Rite, and Purex. Color Kinetics® ColorScape 90 Systems will be available through pool distributors.
With Color Kinetics' intelligent digitally-controlled lighting products, pool owners can customize the look of their pools at the push of a button. Traditional methods of creating colored light, such as fiber optic or color wheels, have a number of drawbacks associated with them, including high heat production, limited color choices, complex installation, and frequent maintenance. However, ColorScape products are powered by Color Kinetics' patented Chromacore technology, which overcomes those drawbacks through the use of solid-state, digital LED technology.
