MASS HIGH TECH NAMES IHOR LYS AMONG 2004 ALL-STARS

Color Kinetics Incorporated (NASDAQ: CLRK), a pioneer in the design, marketing and licensing of intelligent solid-state lighting systems and technologies, today announced the recognition of Chief Technology Officer Ihor Lys, PhD, among Mass High Tech's 2004 All-Stars. The ninth annual list, published in the October 25-31 issue, acknowledges 14 local business leaders, scientists and engineers who have helped to shape the technology landscape of New England.
Lys was named the Electronics category All-Star, based on his pioneering and on-going achievements in intelligent solid-state lighting technology. As co-founder and CTO of Color Kinetics, he is instrumental in the development of the company's core technologies, with dozens of patents to his credit, realizing the far-reaching potential of LEDs as a digitally controllable light source.
