iCOLOR® COVE MX POWERCORE
FACT SHEET
Color Kinetics introduces iColor® Cove MX Powercore - the highest-intensity member of Color Kinetics' popular iColor family of intelligent cove lights. The high-performance 12" (30.5 cm) unit features patent-pending Powercore™ technology for greater operational efficiency and simplified installation
iColor Cove MX Powercore boasts more than double the intensity of iColor Cove, and provides uniform color mixing with maximized output to vibrantly fill alcoves and accent spaces without the constraints or complexities of conventional light sources. Cove lighting is among the most common applications of intelligent solid-state lighting technology today, and iColor Cove MX Powercore meets a wider variety of design requirements with its combination of greater intensity and ease of installation. The compact unit has a 100-degree beam angle, and its integral mounting bracket allows for simple 180-degree rotation in 10-degree increments, directing the output as desired.
In addition to the aesthetic versatility it allows, iColor Cove MX Powercore exhibits the many practical and operational benefits of Powercore. By integrating power and data management within the fixture itself, Powercore increases efficiency, lowers the total system cost, and eases installation by eliminating the need for multiple external power supplies. iColor Cove MX Powercore accepts a universal power input range from 100 to 240VAC, which facilitates the installation of many units in a continuous run.
iColor Cove MX Powercore receives line voltage and data from Data Enabler - a new data-formatting device designed specifically for Color Kinetics products that utilize Powercore. The compact device accepts DMX or Ethernet data and is housed in an IP66-rated enclosure. Each Data Enabler supports up to 60 iColor Cove MX Powercore units from one 40' (12.2 m) leader cable.
iColor Cove MX Powercore is compatible with Color Kinetics' complete line of controllers, including the Ethernet-based Light System Manager authoring and control system, and third-party DMX controllers.
Features:
- 12" (30.5 cm) linear fixture with die cast aluminum housing
