COLORCAST™ 14

FACT SHEET

Color Kinetics delivers ColorCast™ 14 - a high-performance union of linear, low-profile fixture design and maximized light intensity for uniform, saturated color in wall washing and large alcove applications. ColorCast 14 features Powercore™ technology, which significantly increases efficiency and lowers the total cost of the system by integrating power and data management within the fixture.

ColorCast 14 is unique in its blend of minimized size and maximized output. The 13.5" (34.3 cm) unit comprises 18 red, green, and blue power LEDs mounted in a linear array, projecting soft light with a wide beam angle for even distribution. Its ease of installation and continuous run capabilities make it an ideal, cost-effective choice for washing large-scale alcoves, archways, and up to 15' (4.6 m) walls with rich, saturated color and dynamic lighting effects. It is available with over-molded, end-to-end locking connectors or in a conduit-ready version

In addition to the aesthetic versatility it allows, ColorCast 14 exhibits the many practical and operational benefits of Powercore. More than just a means of integrating power on-board the fixture, this technology represents a completely new and holistic approach to power control and conversion - specifically optimized to drive LED-based illumination systems. It is an integrated solution that minimizes space, losses and parts count to deliver a compact, efficient and economical power source. As a result, the overall system performs with greater efficiency at lower cost.

ColorCast 14 accepts a universal power input range from100 to 240VAC, 50/60 Hz, which facilitates the installation of many units in a continuous run without the need for external power/data supplies.

ColorCast 14 is compatible with Color Kinetics' line of controllers and third-party DMX controllers, as well as Light System Manager - Color Kinetics' next-generation, Ethernet-based authoring and control system. It is IP66-rated for use in dry, wet and damp environments.

ColorCast 14 receives data from Data Enabler - a new data-formatting device designed specifically for Color Kinetics products that feature Powercore. The compact device accepts DMX or Ethernet data and is housed in an IP66-rated enclosure for use in dry, wet and damp environments. Each Data Enabler supports up to 70 ColorCast 14 units with 50' (15.2 m) of field-cuttable leader cable.

Features:

  • 13.5" (34.3 cm) x 2.7" (6.9 cm) x 2.7" (6.9 cm) linear unit in die cast aluminum housing with powder coat finish in white, black, or aluminum
  • Wide beam angle with high intensity for soft lighting applications
  • Accepts universal power input range from 100 to 240VAC, 50/60 Hz
