COLOR KINETICS ANNOUNCES ITS INITIAL PUBLIC OFFERING
Boston, MA - April 12, 2004 - Color Kinetics Incorporated, a pioneer in the design, manufacture, marketing and licensing of intelligent solid-state lighting systems, announced today that it has filed a registration statement on Form S-1 with the Securities and Exchange Commission for an initial public offering of shares of its common stock. All of the shares are to be sold by Color Kinetics. Color Kinetics has granted the underwriters in the offering a 30-day option to purchase additional shares at the initial public offering price, less the underwriting discount, to cover over-allotments, if any. Color Kinetics has not yet set an estimated range for the initial offering price or the number of shares to be offered.
The registration statement relating to these securities has not yet become effective. These securities may not be sold nor may offers to buy be accepted prior to the time the registration statement becomes effective.
