In its seventh appearance at the LDI show, Color Kinetics introduces advanced products that extend the inherent capabilities of LEDs to new heights.
NEXT-GENERATION CONTROL
Light System Manager is an integrated software/hardware solution engineered to cost effectively enable large-scale and intricately designed installations that exceed the limitations of today's lighting programming and network protocols. From stage, to themed environments, to architectural applications, Light System Manager facilitates the management, authoring, and control of show effects that span multiple DMX universes and scale to tens of thousands of individually controlled LED-based nodes.
PDS-60ca is a streamlined, cost-effective solution that blends power and intelligence for use in dry, wet and damp environments. PDS-60ca is designed to convert Ethernet, DMX, and pre-programmed information into data that can be understood by each individual light. Used with Light System Manager, it allows the lights in a network to be automatically discovered, addressed or added to the sequence. PDS-60ca is engineered for use with Color Kinetics' Chromasic™-based products, including iColor® Tile FX, iColor Flex SL, and iColor Cove® EC.
UNLIMITED CREATIVITY
iColor Tile FX creates a canvas for unlimited creative expression in the form of a sophisticated, tile-like system that captivates independently or as part of a large-scale, multi-system installation. Each 2' by 2' (60 by 60 cm) panel incorporates 144 individually addressable, tri-color nodes (432 LEDs total) that are powered by Chromasic, enabling fine-grained control to create images with light - from morphing color waves, to animated objects, logos, emblems, and customized patterns. iColor Tile FX is designed for recess and surface mounting, and is ideal for retrofitting ceiling tiles and surfaces. Versions of iColor Tile FX will support applications in dry, wet and damp environments.
iColor Flex SLis a multi-purpose, LED-based strand that generates extraordinary effects and accommodates expansive installations without the constraints of fixture size, shape or space. Each strand of iColor Flex SL is comprised of 50 individually addressable, tri-color nodes (150 LEDs total), powered by Chromasic and spaced in 2" (5.1 cm), 4" (10.2 cm), 6" (15.2 cm), 12" (30.5 cm), or custom-sized increments up to 12" on center. Available as an independent system or as a component for custom fixtures, iColor Flex SL breaks spatial boundaries for completely new applications, from the lighting of three-dimensional shapes, logos and images, to landscape and aisle lighting, or alcove and accent lighting in uniquely defined spaces. iColor Flex SL is rated for use in dry, wet and damp environments.
ColorBlaze™ is now available. The system casts far-reaching colored light and effects with maximized output for theatrical, entertainment, and architectural applications. ColorBlaze is available in 6' (1.8 m) and 4' (1.2 m) lengths, named ColorBlaze 72 and ColorBlaze 48 respectively. The systems are controllable in 6" (15.2 cm) increments and feature on-board power in an extruded aluminum housing to streamline design and installation.
ENHANCED FLEXIBILITY
Lighting Accessories - Color Kinetics and City Theatrical, Inc. teamed to develop a full line of versatile accessories for use
with Color Kinetics' award-winning line of professional LED-based lighting systems. The accessories will enhance the flexibility of
Color Kinetics' systems and expand creative liberties for lighting designers through greater control of light dispersion and
effects. The first release of accessories is designed for use with Color Kinetics' popular ColorBlast®, ColorBurst®, and
ColorBlaze units - providing a range of adaptable tools to harness and manipulate rich colored light and dynamic wall
washing or spotlighting effects. Standard accessories include Accessory Holders, Top Hats, Half Top Hats, Spread Lenses, Egg
Crate Louvers, and Barndoors. Future accessories will include automated mounting brackets and an accessory for motorizing
and tilting ColorBlaze. Recognizing the wide-ranging needs of lighting designers and consultants, the program also
accommodates custom accessories for special projects. The accessories will be on display in the booths of both Color Kinetics (#712) and City Theatrical (#201).
GREATER COST EFFICIENCY
iColor Cove EC is a highly affordable LED-based solution for the generation of saturated color and dynamic effects in under cabinet, edge, and alcove lighting. Joining the popular iColor Cove family of products, iColor Cove EC applies Chromasic technology to lower the cost of digital LED control, thereby significantly lowering the cost of the total system. iColor Cove EC is ideally suited for low ambient exhibit, hospitality, commercial, and residential environments. The product is designed for use in dry environments and features a sleek, low profile housing available in 7" (18 cm) and 12" (30 cm) lengths.
