COLOR KINETICS APPOINTS TWO SEASONED SALES EXECUTIVES
TO DRIVE COMPANY'S GROWTH
Chris Davis and Joop van Aard to Lead North American and International
Professional Lighting and OEM/Licensing Sales

Color Kinetics Incorporated, the pioneer of intelligent LED-based illumination technologies, today announces the appointment of Chris Davis as Vice President: North American Sales and Joop van Aard as Vice President: International Sales. Both Davis and van Aard bring a wealth of domestic and international sales, marketing and operational experience to help further fuel the growth of this dynamic company.
Mr. Davis heads the Color Kinetics North American Sales team, bringing over 25 years of experience in business development, sales, and strategic partnering in the high tech, manufacturing automation, and software industries in the U.S. and abroad. Prior to Color Kinetics, Davis held the Singapore-based position of Managing Director and President, Asia Pacific Operations, for Varta Batteries Private Limited. He held sales and marketing positions with Schneider Automation, AEG Modicon, Automatix, Inc., Pfizer Medical Systems, and IBM. Mr. Davis was also a founder of Measurex Automation Systems, a software development company. He received a BS in Chemistry from Jacksonville University and an MBA from The Florida State University. He also served in the United States Navy, Commander Amphibious Squadron Six and achieved the rank of Lieutenant.
Mr. Van Aard oversees the Color Kinetics International Sales team, and has immediately helped establish the company's European sales operations based in the Netherlands. Just prior to Color Kinetics, he held the position of Vice President: Europe, Middle East and Africa for Juniper Networks. Mr. Van Aard is a seasoned international telecom industry veteran, holding senior operational management positions with large organizations such as Lucent Technologies and Cisco Systems as well as start-ups like Redback Networks and Unisphere (acquired by Juniper Networks). He holds a BSc in Electronic Engineering from the University of Brabant.
